It is officially game week for the first action of the 2022 college football season! After a long offseason and plenty of talking, it is finally time to put the spotlight on the field with Week 0 action kicking off Saturday.

In the B1G, 3 teams will be in action at the end of Aug. with a B1G West battle between Nebraska and Northwestern highlighting the slate. Illinois will also play Wyoming to open the season.

Entering the week, 247 Sports analysts Lance Glinn and Trey Scott tackled the Huskers vs. Wildcats showdown in Dublin, Ireland. After expecting Nebraska to win – and cover – the spread in Week 0 opener last season, the goals for this year’s opener are a bit different this time around.

“I think they were 7.5-point favorites last year going to Illinois,” said Glinn, “And we said that they needed to win handily…even a win last year if it was by a field goal or a touchdown wouldn’t be enough. But this year, we’re at the point where they just need to win?”

“Maybe last year we were wrong,” admitted Trey Scott. “If you’re a Nebraska fan, the point spread is like 12.5 (Nebraska favored). Sure, covering would be great, but this is Week 0, we’re across the pond. This could be a weird game… If you’re Nebraska, you’re just trying to win.”

Kickoff from Dublin is set for 12 pm ET on FOX. Can the Huskers roll as a favorite, or will Northwestern start a rebound season with an upset win?
