The NCAA transfer portal hasn’t been in existence very long, but we’re already seeing history being made this year. So far, the portal is as busy as it’s ever been, seeing an all-time high number of players enter their names in the database.

We’ve seen everyone from premier players to walk-ons to members of the 2020 recruiting class hit the portal this past season. Coaching changes, concerns with the COVID-19 pandemic, style of play, number of reps and other circumstances can all contribute to a player hitting the NCAA transfer portal.

Even though there have been more than 1,700 players enter the portal over the past six months, 247Sports has gone through the task of ranking the Top 50 players who have either entered the transfer portal or have already found new schools to call home. There are quite a few B1G connections, with 10 players either coming into or leaving the league.
