3 B1G coaches land on Kirk Herbstreit's top performers after Week 9
While a little late to the show, B1G football is getting some attention and recognition.
In his weekly rankings of Top Performing Coaches, ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreet has included a trio of B1G coaches on his list, with Michigan State’s Mel Tucker topping the list.

First wins as a coach are always special, but Tucker’s Spartans made his first win as their coach one for the books, upsetting rival Michigan in Ann Arbor with a 27-24 win.
Ranked third was Indiana’s Tom Allen, who after pulling off an exciting overtime victory over Penn State in their opener – with a gutsy two-point conversion to end the game – the Hoosiers continued to roll besting Rutgers, 37-21 on the roard in New Jersey.
Not to be left out, Ohio State coach Ryan Day slipped into the third spot. The Buckeyes put together a dominating 37-25 win over Penn State during prime time Saturday night.
