The three players from the Big Ten that are on the watchlist are Ayo Dosunmu of Illinois, Geo Baker of Rutgers, and D’Mitrik Trice of Wisconsin.

Last year for Illinois, Dosunmu averaged 16.6 points per game with a little over four rebounds a game. He also had a three-point average of nearly 30%.

Baker of Rutgers averaged 10.9 points per game with nearly a 40% field-goal percentage. He also averaged 3.5 assists per game.

Lastly for Trice, he averaged 9.8 points per game with the Badgers, which was a bit lower than his 11.6 points per game the season before. He also had a little over four assists per game this past season.

According to the award’s announcement page, players can play their way on – or off – the watchlist for the Bob Cousy Award once the season begins. It will be interesting to see who winds up in the running for the award once we get some action on the hardwood.
