3 B1G Kickers named Lou Groza Award semifinalists
The 2021 Lou Groza Award semifinalists have been named and the B1G has 3 of the 20 players on there.
The award goes to the best kicker in the nation each season and has been handed out every year since 1992. Ohio State’s Noah Ruggles, Iowa’s Caleb Shudak, and Michigan’s Jake Moody have all been included as semifinalists.

Ruggles hasn’t missed a kick this year through 8 games. He’s a perfect 11-for-11 with a long of 44 yards. He’s also not missed an extra point (47-for-47).
Shudak is 11-for-13 on field goals this year with a long of 51 yards. He’s also 4-for-4 from the 40-49 yard range and 1-for-2 from 50+. Similar to Ruggles, Shudak has also not missed an extra point either.
Moody is 18-for-20 from field goal range with a long of 52 yards. He’s also not missed a PAT and has scored a total of 85 points this season.
