3 B1G programs make Top-5 for highly-touted prospect from SEC state

Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana are in the top five for 3-star athlete Anthony Brown.

Here’s his top five announcement, which also includes Tennessee and Arkansas:

Brown hails from Milan, Tennessee, and is the No. 44 prospect in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings. The service also ranks him as the No. 500 overall player in the class of 2022.

He took visits to both Illinois and Indiana in June. He also visited Memphis and Tennessee during that month. He has yet to visit Wisconsin, but received a scholarship offer from the Badgers back in April.

Wisconsin is ranked as the No. 33 class in the country, while Indiana (No. 36) and Illinois (No. 40) trail shortly behind in the national rankings, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

Brown would be the top-ranked commitment for Illinois so far in this cycle.

Prospects in class of 2022 are able to officially sign with their programs in December during the Early Signing Period.

Brown is currently scheduled to make his announcement on July 29.
