Even though we’re only a week into the college football season, it’s never too early to start looking at the playoff predictor when it comes to the CFP.

Following Week 1, 3 teams from the B1G have landed on the predictor as they have at least a 3% chance of making the playoff. There are also 15 total teams (including the 3 from the B1G) who have that 3% chance (at least) of getting in.

Here’s a look at the 6 teams with the best odds as of right now:

  • Alabama (86%)
  • Ohio State (67%)
  • Oklahoma (54%)
  • Clemson (48%)
  • Georgia (46%)
  • Notre Dame (21%)

It shouldn’t surprise anyone to see the Buckeyes near the top of the list. They were picked by numerous media members to make the playoff this season and with how much talent they currently have, it would be a disappointment if they didn’t.

The other 2 B1G schools aren’t in the top 6, but Penn State and Iowa did crack the top 15. The Nittany Lions have a 7% chance to make it after their win against Wisconsin, while the Hawkeyes sit at just 3% after their win against Indiana.

This is going to change as the season goes on and more upsets happen but the B1G is well represented so far.
