4 B1G players named to Associated Press All-America teams

The Associated Press has revealed its selections for the 2021 All-America teams following the college basketball regular season and conference tournaments.

This week, the AP announced the first-, second-, and third-team selections for the 2021 All-America teams. Four B1G players received honors, with two being named to the first-team and two more being selected to the second-team.

Illinois led the way with two selections, with Ayo Dosunmu and Kofi Cockburn both earning recognition. Iowa and Michigan each had a representative, as well, as Luka Garza and Hunter Dickinson were both chosen to the teams.

First-Team All-America

  • Corey Kispert, Gonzaga
  • Jared Butler, Baylor
  • Luka Garza, Iowa
  • Ayo Dosunmu, Illinois
  • Cade Cunningham, Oklahoma State

Second-Team All-America

  • Jalen Suggs, Gonzaga
  • Drew Timme, Gonzaga
  • Kofi Cockburn, Illinois
  • Hunter Dickinson, Michigan
  • Evan Mobley, USC

Third-Team All-America

  • Davion Mitchell, Baylor
  • Quentin Grimes, Houston
  • Herb Jones, Alabama
