The B1G is rolling on into Week 4 of the schedule, but a few players received special recognition for their work over the weekend.
Within the conference, it was a weekend of big performances from star players. Four players finished the weekend by getting named to the Team of the Week by Pro Football Focus with each playing a role in blowout victories.
Here are the players selected:
- WR: Rashod Bateman, Minnesota
- C: Tyler Linderbaum, Iowa
- LB: Justin Hilliard, Ohio State
- S: Josh Proctor, Ohio State
Bateman had his best game of the season with 10 catches for 139 yards and a touchdown as he torched Illinois. The Gophers rolled to a 41-14 win.
Linderbaum is a leader and key piece to Iowa’s offensive line. He anchored a unit that paved the way for 226 rushing yards on 5.5 YPC in the blowout of Michigan State.
Hilliard and Proctor performed well against Rutgers, keeping the Scarlet Knights locked down as the Buckeyes built a big first-half lead that would hold up until the final whistle. Hilliard even received the highest game grade of all Power 5 linebackers over the weekend.
