The B1G hasn’t stepped foot on the field yet — most teams are just starting practices — but the conference is still being considered in ESPN’s Power Rankings. And four teams have cracked the top 25, with two inside the top 10.

ESPN updated its Power Rankings on Sunday following an exciting week in college football. Ohio State is still near the top of the latest rankings, with Penn State just a few spots behind the Buckeyes. After that, things get a little bleak for the B1G.

Here’s a look at ESPN’s complete top 10:

  1. Alabama Crimson Tide (1-0)
  2. Ohio State Buckeyes (0-0)
  3. Clemson Tigers (2-0)
  4. Florida Gators (1-0)
  5. Notre Dame Fighting Irish (2-0)
  6. Penn State Nittany Lions (0-0)
  7. Miami Hurricanes (3-0)
  8. Mississippi State Bulldogs (1-0)
  9. UCF Knights (2-0)
  10. Auburn Tigers (1-0)

Even though the Buckeyes and Nittany Lions have not taken a snap, both are considered to have excellent talent for the 2020 season and contend for a spot in the College Football Playoff.

Two more teams found a spot in the top 20 — Wisconsin and Michigan. The Badgers came in at No. 14 while the Wolverines round out the B1G’s teams at No. 20.
