Four teams out of the B1G have been included in ESPN’s latest Power Rankings, despite not playing a game yet this season. The conference is set to begin play on Saturday, Oct. 24.

Ohio State, Penn State, Wisconsin and Michigan all were included the ESPN’s latest list. They accounted for four of the six squads included that have not yet played in a game. The other two were Oregon and USC out of the Pac-12, with that league beginning in early November.

Here’s where those four B1G teams ranked, per ESPN:

  • No. 4: Ohio State Buckeyes
  • No. 6: Penn State Nittany Lions
  • No. 11: Wisconsin Badgers
  • No. 19: Michigan Wolverines

The two noticeable omissions from the list are Iowa and Minnesota, both of which finished last season with double-digit win totals. But both teams could easily work their way into the power rankings when the season starts in two weeks.

Ohio State has been higher than No. 4 in a lot of rankings, but the Buckeyes are probably lower in ESPN because they have not hit the field just yet. It’ll be interesting to see how much these things change when the B1G and Pac-12 get back on the field.
