Several B1G programs made the Top 9 for a 4-star safety out of Dallas, Texas this week.

Daniel Demery, one of the Top 25 safeties in the 2023 recruiting class, released his Top 9 on Tuesday via Twitter. He has four B1G teams in consideration: Iowa, Michigan State, Nebraska and Purdue. The other five schools in the mix are Colorado, Ole Miss, SMU, Texas and Texas A&M.

A 5-foot-11, 195-pound prospect, Demery received nearly two dozen offers on the recruiting front. He’s ranked as a Top 50 player out of the talent-rich state of Texas.

During the 2021 season at Parish Episcopal, Demery racked up 70 tackles and an impressive 10 pass break-ups. He also had 5 interceptions with 2 pick-sixes and a fumble recovery for a touchdown.

Iowa currently owns the B1G’s No. 3 ranked recruiting class while Michigan State sits at No. 5. Nebraska is in the middle of the pack at No. 7 while Purdue is near the bottom at No. 13.

Demery would be an outstanding addition to any of the four B1G programs included in his Top 9.
