One of the most highly-coveted defensive backs out of the Midwest in the 2020 recruiting class has released his top seven schools. It’s a B1G-heavy list, too.

Four-star safety Makari Paige revealed his top seven schools on Monday evening, with five of those schools being B1G programs. Paige included Michigan, Ohio State, Michigan State, Purdue and Penn State in his final seven. Notre Dame and Kentucky were the non-B1G outliers.

Paige made his announcement via Twitter on Monday night:

A native of West Bloomfield, Michigan, Paige is a 6-foot-3, 182-pound safety who has received nearly two dozen offers. He’s ranked as one of the top five players out of his home state and is the No. 20 safety in the cycle, per 247Sports.

Overall, Paige comes in as the 239rd ranked player in the 2020 class.

Per the 247Sports crystal ball predictions, Ohio State and Michigan are the favorites to land the four-star defensive back. But recruiting is far from a science, so there’s a good possibility Paige ends up at any of the seven schools he’s listed.
