Thompson’s list was rounded out with Arkansas, Pittsburgh, Kentucky, USC, Cincinnati, Georgia, and Vanderbilt.

According to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Thompson is rated a 4-star prospect, the No. 2 prospect out of Michigan, and the No. 22 DL nationally for 2023. He is also rated as the No. 161 player nationally regardless of position for the cycle.

It is still early but Penn State (No. 4), Michigan State (No. 8), and Michigan (No. 13) all have top-15 classes in the early going for 2023. It will be interesting to see where Thompson winds up to begin his college career.
