One of the premier B1G prospects in the 2023 recruiting class has set a commitment date.

Luke Montgomery, a 4-star defensive lineman out of Findlay, Ohio, announced a commitment date on Monday. In a Twitter post, the 6-foot-5, 260-pound lineman revealed that he’ll be committing on Thursday, Feb. 17 at 3 p.m. ET on CBS Sports.

Montgomery will make the announcement at his high school and will also be streaming the decision live on Instagram.

This is of major important to several B1G programs who have offered the 4-star lineman. He’s received interest from Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Ohio State and Penn State.

Outside of the B1G, Montgomery has received offers from USC, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Oregon, LSU, Clemson and others.

Per 247Sports, Montgomery ranks as the No. 62 overall prospect in the 2023 recruiting cycle. He’s also listed as the No. 2 player out of Ohio.

Montgomery has played multiple positions at the high school level, including defensive end, defensive tackle, tight end and fullback. He also plays basketball.

There’s no question Montgomery would be a major asset to any program.
