4-star OT from Orlando includes 3 B1G programs in Top 7
A 4-star offensive tackle is strongly considering three B1G programs.
On Thursday, Hayes Fawcett tweeted out that 4-star offensive lineman Payton Kirkland has trimmed his list of interests down to 7 programs. Three of those are from the B1G: Michigan, Ohio State and Penn State.
The other four schools to make the cut are Clemson, Georgia, Miami (FL) and Oklahoma. The 6-foot-5, 330-pound member of the 2023 recruiting class received over 50 offers on the trail.

Per 247Sports composite rankings, Kirkland ranks as the No. 201 overall prospect and the No. 15 offensive tackle of the cycle. The Orlando native is one of the Top 40 players out of Florida.
All three B1G programs still in the mix have been recruiting at a high level. While there’s still some work to be done with the 2022 class, adding a player like Kirkland would be a huge boost for all three squads in the 2023 cycle.
