5 B1G QBs land on watch list for Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award

It looks like there will be some strong quarterback play in the B1G this season.
The watch list for the 2019 Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award was released Monday, and five quarterbacks from the B1G were named. According to the Golden Arm Foundation, the award is annually given to the top senior or fourth-year junior quarterback set to graduate with their class.
In 2018, the award was given to Washington State’s Gardner Minshew. He threw for 4,779 yards and 38 TDs last season. The last B1G QB to win the award was Michigan State’s Connor Cook in 2015.

- Josh Jackson – Maryland
- Brian Lewerke – Michigan State
- Shea Patterson – Michigan
- Peyton Ramsey – Indiana
- Nate Stanley – Iowa
