This past Saturday, the B1G saw some great performances by several of its players this week, and five of those players were recognized by PFF on the publications Team of the Week.

Those five players were:

  • Illinois WR Isiah Williams
  • Illinois OL Alex Palczewski
  • Nebraska RB Anthony Grant
  • Maryland CB Jakorian Bennett
  • Penn State CB Joey Porter Jr.

In a 23-20 loss against Indiana, Isaiah Williams had a big game. He caught 16 passes for 138 yards and 1 touchdown.

In the same game, offensive lineman Alex Palczewski was also recognized for his performance in a loss. It was better news for Nebraska running back Anthony Grant.

Grant rushed for 189 yards and 2 touchdowns versus North Dakota in the Cornhuskers in their 38-17 victory. Grant has made a huge impact on the Cornhuskers’ offense so far this season totaling 290 yards and four touchdowns in his first two games.

Jakorian Bennett in the Terpins’ 31-10 victory over Buffalo, had five tackles in his first game of the season, meanwhile, Joey Porter had 8 solo tackles of his own in the Nittany Lions’ 35-31 victory over Purdue.

All five players clearly made huge impacts on their teams this past week and deserved to be recognized for their efforts.
