It was a great week for the B1G.
Five players from the conference played well enough to earn a spot on PFF’s Team of the Week, naming the best players at a certain position in all of college football.
The B1G’s contributions were:
- RB Nick Singleton, Penn State
- WR Charlies Jones, Purdue
- WR Marvin Harrison Jr, Ohio State
- LT Jack Nelson, Wisconsin
- LG Tyler Beach, Wisconsin
In addition to the 5 inclusions, Penn State running back Nick Singleton also won PFF’s Freshman of the Week designation.
Singleton was as impressive as any running back in the country Saturday. He rushed for 179 yards on 10 carries and found the end zone twice on 40+ yard scampers.
Marvin Harrison also had as impressive a game as anyone in the country this year, hauling in 7 receptions for 184 yards and 3 touchdowns.
No defensive players earned a nod on the PFF Team of the Week, despite strong performances from Michigan State’s Jacoby Windmon and Illinois’ Keith Randolph Jr.
