We’re still nearly four months away from the start of the 2021 college football season, but it’s never too early to make projections and create rankings for the year ahead. On Tuesday, ESPN produced a post-spring Top 25 power rankings.

Five teams from the B1G cracked the rankings, with Ohio State being the only team to be listed in the Top 10 this year. Indiana, Iowa, Wisconsin and Penn State were the other four teams to miss the cut.

The one noticeable absence from the Top 25 was Northwestern, last year’s winner of the B1G West. The Wildcats are replacing a good chunk of talent but finished last season with a 7-2 record, with the only losses coming to Michigan State and Ohio State in the B1G Championship Game.

Here’s where the five B1G teams ranked in ESPN’s post-spring Top 25:

  • No. 5: Ohio State Buckeyes
  • No. 11: Indiana Hoosiers
  • No. 14: Iowa Hawkeyes
  • No. 18: Wisconsin Badgers
  • No. 23: Penn State Nittany Lions
