Per 247Sports, Sallis ranks as the No. 6 overall prospect in the 2021 recruiting class and the No. 2 combo guard. He’s the top-ranked player from Nebraska and is also a McDonald’s All-American.
Gonzaga’s success this season has likely played a major factor in Sallis’ decision. The Bulldogs are currently 28-0 and reached the Sweet 16 with relative ease following wins over Norfolk State and Oklahoma in the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament.
Mark Few’s team is trying to become the first undefeated team to win a national title since Indiana’s run in 1975-76 (32-0).
