In his lengthy statement, Alexander says Georgia is still one of the top contenders for his pledge. However, he wants to take time to evaluate all of his options, now that the landscape of recruiting has changed.

The NCAA’s dead period ended on June 1.

Per 247Sports, Alexander ranks as the nation’s No. 26 overall prospect in the class. The 6-foot-3, 325-pound lineman is ranked as the No. 7 defensive lineman in the cycle and the No. 7 player from Texas.

A handful of B1G programs have offered the 5-star lineman. Along with numerous SEC offers, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska and Ohio State all showed interest in Alexander.
