One of the nation’s elite prospects for 2022 unveiled his list of Top 8 finalists recently, keeping two B1G schools in the running for his services.

Friday morning, Walter Nolen shared a graphic with his list of schools on Twitter. The two B1G schools on the list were Ohio State and Michigan. The rest of Nolen’s Top 8 was heavily dominated by the SEC with Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and LSU joining Oregon and USC.

Listed at 6-foot-4 and 300 lbs., Nolen is a five-star defensive tackle out of Cordova, Tennessee. According to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Nolen is the top-rated DT and No. 2 overall prospect nationally for the 2022 cycle. A player like Nolen has the ability to be a game-changer out of the gate and would certainly be a big boost to any recruiting class.

Michigan’s 2022 recruiting class is currently ranked 20th nationally and is headlined by five-star CB Will Johnson. Ohio State currently holds the top-ranked class nationally for 2022 with three five-star commits, including the No. 1 overall prospect in QB Quinn Ewers.
