One of the nation’s top prospects in the 2023 recruiting class has narrowed down his list of options to 12 schools. Two B1G programs are still in the mix.
Drayk Bowen, a 5-star linebacker out of Merrillville, Indian released his Top 12 recently, and included B1G programs Indiana and Michigan. The other 10 schools still in the mix are Auburn, Clemson, LSU, N.C. State, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Virginia Tech.

A 6-foot-2, 215-pound prospect in the 2023 class, Bowen ranks as the No. 1 linebacker of the cycle and is also listed as the top prospect out of Indiana. Nationally, he ranks as the No. 25 player in his class, per 247Sports Composite.
Bowen has been a force at Andrean High School over the past two seasons. He’s credited with 130 tackles, 23 stops for loss, 8 sacks, 5 fumble recoveries, 4 forced fumbles and an interception. During the 2020 campaign, Bowen tallied 80 stops with 13 tackles for loss and 5 sacks.
More than two dozen programs have extended an offer to Bowen. Teams that didn’t make the Top 12 include Arkansas, Cincinnati, Kentucky, Michigan State, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Purdue, Stanford, Texas, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin.
