Six players committed to a B1G program have been given a 5-star rating with 247Sports releasing its latest rankings on Wednesday. Each year, the recruiting site re-ranks the top prospects in the class.

Five of the six will be heading to either Penn State or Ohio State and one will be playing at Iowa. There are also four prospects that are not currently committed to a program, so there’s a chance the B1G could see a late surge in the number of blue-chip recruits.

The re-ranking of the nation’s top players comes just one week before National Signing Day. While most of the work on the recruiting trail is cleaned up during the Early Signing Period, there still remains some prospects looking for a home.

Here’s a look at where the B1G’s commits — as well as the uncommitted prospects — landed in 247Sports’ latest rankings:

No. 3: Drew Allar, 5-star QB, Penn State

No. 5: Harold Perkins, 5-star LB, uncommitted

No. 8: Josh Conerly Jr., 5-star OT, uncommitted

No. 9: Shemar Stewart, 5-star DL, uncommitted

No. 10: CJ Hicks, 5-star LB, Ohio State

No. 18: Nicholas Singleton, 5-star RB, Penn State

No. 22: Devon Campbell, 5-star OL, uncommitted

No. 24: Xavier Nwankpa, 5-star S, Iowa

No. 26: Sonny Styles, 5-star S, Ohio State

No. 27: Dani Dennis-Sutton, 5-star DL, Penn State

Penn State led the way with three players earning a 5-star ranking and two Ohio State commits earned that status. You can view the complete rankings on 247Sports.com.
