Now that another week of B1G basketball is in the books, it’s time to take a look at the updated standings in the race for a regular season conference title.

The only game on the docket on Sunday was Rutgers-Indiana, a game the Scarlet Knights 74-70. There isn’t another game scheduled until Wednesday, Jan. 27, giving every team at least a few days off as we’ve hit the heart of the league schedule.

So, what better time to take a look at the updated league standings? Here’s how things look as we hit the midway point of the college basketball season:

  • #7 Michigan — 8-1 (13-1)
  • #4 Iowa — 6-2 (12-3)
  • #10 Wisconsin — 6-3 (12-4)
  • #22 Illinois — 6-3 (10-5)
  • Purdue — 6-4 (11-6)
  • #15 Ohio State — 6-4 (12-4)
  • #17 Minnesota — 4-5 (11-5)
  • Indiana — 4-5 (9-7)
  • Rutgers — 4-6 (8-6)
  • Michigan State — 2-4 (8-4)
  • Maryland — 3-6 (8-4)
  • Northwestern — 3-7 (6-8)
  • Penn State — 2-5 (5-6)
  • Nebraska — 0-5 (4-8)

Michigan State has not played a game in three weeks due to COVID-19 concerns, though it’s hopeful to return this upcoming week against Rutgers. Penn State and Nebraska have endured similar issues earlier in the season.

Currently, Michigan’s entire athletic department is on a 14-day pause, meaning the Wolverines will miss at least 4 games.
