The AAC has decided to join the MAC and Mountain West in nixing its 2020 football media days, which were scheduled to be held in July. Instead, the conference will host a virtual version.

Bruce Feldman of The Athletic was one of the first to report the news on Monday afternoon. Three of the 10 FBS conferences have now decided to go to a virtual media days plan for the upcoming season, due to the ongoing pandemic.

Prior to the AAC’s decision, the league’s media days were scheduled to be held in Newport, Rhode Island from July 12-14. The date for the virtual media days has yet to be determined.

So far, no Power Five conferences have decided to alter their media days plans. However, With most of those events scheduled within the next two months, there will likely be some announcements coming in the near future, regardless of what conferences decide to do.
