ACC Upset Watch: N.C. State has halftime lead on No. 24 Pitt

The story of the 2020 season so far has been the number of upsets we’ve already seen. And considering the unique circumstances this year, we’ll probably continue to see surprsises on the field.
An upset could be brewing in ACC country this weekend.
N.C. State (1-1) owns a 17-13 lead over No. 24 Pitt (3-0) at halftime from Heinz Field. It would be a big bounce-back victory for the Wolf Pack, which fell to No. 20 Virginia Tech 45-24 on the road last week.
Pitt has opened the season with three weeks, defeating Austin Peay 55-0 in Week 1 and taking down Syracuse 21-10 in the second week of the season. Last Saturday, Pitt narrowly escaped a scare from Louisville, but the Panthers defeated the Cardinals 23-20.
None of the ranked ACC teams this week have lost a game this season:
- No. 1 Clemson (2-0)
- No. 5 Notre Dame (2-0)
- No. 8 Miami (3-0)
- No. 12 North Carolina (1-0)
- No. 24 Pitt (3-0)
