It didn’t take long for the Big Ten to make its mark on the AP Poll.

After just one week, the Big Ten leads all other conferences with five teams inside the AP Top-25.

No. 3 Ohio State, No. 9 Wisconsin, No. 13 Michigan, No. 17 Indiana and No. 18 Penn State all made the cut.

Impressive victories by Ohio State, Wisconsin, Michigan and Indiana certainly helped the conference’s image. Penn State’s narrow loss to the Hoosiers knocked the Nittany Lions down a few spots, but not enough to be left off the poll entirely.

The ACC, SEC and Big 12 all put four teams into the poll while the AAC and Pac-12 added a pair of squads. The Mountain West, Conference USA and Sun Belt each put one team into the poll this week.

Next week will present an interesting challenge for the Big Ten’s ranked teams. Penn State will host Ohio State in an attempt to get back on track. Michigan hosts in-state rival Michigan State. Meanwhile, Indiana and Wisconsin are on the road at Rutgers and Nebraska, respectively.
