Alabama football releases statement following arrest of an assistant coach
Alabama football is dealing with the arrest of an assistant coach Thursday.
According to reports, Crimson Tide DC Pete Golding was arrested for driving under the influence Thursday morning. At the time of the arrest, Golding had a bond reportedly set at $500.

Thursday evening, Alabama football released a statement surrounding the situation:
“Alabama Athletics is aware of the incident involving Pete Golding. We are mindful of the seriousness of the situation and will continue to gather more information to address this personnel matter.”
Golding has been the DC at Alabama since 2018. He has helped lead Alabama to the 2020 national championship and helped guide the Crimson Tide to the championship game following the 2021 season.
