Andrel Anthony joined Jim Harbaugh’s Michigan program as a 3-star prospect out of East Lansing in the 2021 recruiting class. After a pair of seasons for the Wolverines, Anthony opted to head for the transfer portal on Wednesday.
Since his entry into the transfer portal, Anthony has listed a number of Power 5 offers that included Miami, Oklahoma, Pitt, UCLA, Notre Dame, Texas A&M and others. Out of the B1G, Anthony indicated he has received offers from Purdue, Penn State and his hometown program Michigan State.
While all of those offers are notable, Anthony yielding an offer from Mel Tucker’s Spartan program in East Lansing is particularly interesting.
To this date, Anthony’s best game as a college player came in East Lansing with 6 catches for 155 yards and 2 touchdowns for Michigan in the 2021 rivalry game. He only has one other game with multiple catches.
Anthony has 19 catches for 328 yards and 4 touchdowns in two seasons with the Wolverines. He had just 7 catches for 80 yards and a touchdown while playing all 14 games for Michigan in 2022.
