Another bowl game canceled because of COVID-19 concerns
Another one bites the dust.
The New Year’s Eve Day Mercari Texas Bowl between TCU (6-4) and Arkansas (3-7) will be called off due to COVID-19 according to ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg. The loss of the bowl game is a big loss for the Horned Frogs after a strong finish to the 2020 season and considerably momentum heading into the postseason.
A number of bowl games have been cancelled due to COVID-19 this season, with the Music City Bowl between No. 15 Iowa and Missouri was among the latest postseason games called off.

TCU closed out the season with three straight wins including a 29-22 win over a ranked Oklahoma State. Since losing 33-14 at home to Oklahoma on Oct. 25, TCU won five of their last six games to close out the season strong.
