The Associated Press released its 2022 preseason All-American team. The B1G had 13 players officially make the list.

Here is the full list:

First-Team Offense

  • TreVeyon Henderson, RB, Ohio State
  • Peter Skoronski, OT, Northwestern
  • Paris Johnson Jr., OT, Ohio State
  • Jaxon Smith-Njigba, WR, Ohio State

First-Team Defense

  • Jack Campbell, LB, Iowa
  • Riley Moss, CB, Iowa

First-Team Special Teams

  • Jake Moody, K, Michigan
  • Adam Korsak, P, Rutgers

Second-Team Offense

  • C.J. Stroud, QB Ohio State
  • Braelon Allen, RB, Wisconsin
  • Dawand Jones, OT, Ohio State
  • John Michael-Schmitz, C, Minnesota

Second-Team Defense

  • Nick Herbig, LB, Wisconsin

There weren’t any players from the B1G who ended making 2nd-team special teams.

The B1G looks like its loaded with talent on offense. Stroud and Jaxon Smith-Njigba are coming off of monster seasons, and will be looking to do even better in 2022.

While there weren’t too many defensive selections, the players that did make the team are no surprise. Iowa has been known for its defenses, and Herbig should be a solid replacement for Jack Sanborn.
