The AP Men’s Basketball Poll is getting updated as we hit the last full week of February. Once again, there’s another shuffling of the top of the poll.

After a one-week stay at No. 1, Alabama has dropped from the top spot after a loss to Tennessee. Moving up to the top at No. 1 is Houston.

The Cougars were an overwhelming No. 1 while receiving 48 first-place votes. Alabama is at No. 2 with Kansas at No. 3 while the Tide and Jayhawks both generated 7 first-place votes.

Purdue fell 2 spots and out of the top 4 teams to No. 5 overall, but it’s not entirely bad news for the Boilermakers. Entering Saturday, the NCAA Tournament Selection Committee still had Purdue as a No. 1 seed.

As for the rest of the B1G, Indiana slid 3 spots while Northwestern jumps into the top 25 at No. 21. That gives the conference 3 teams in the most recent poll.
