A college football writer released his picks for the New Year’s Six Bowl games and how the College Football Playoff will play out. Here’s how the B1G will fair in those games, according to Ralph D. Russo of AP Sports.

First and foremost, Russo has 1 B1G team making it to the playoff. Michigan will fall just short, and Ohio State will be representing the conference.

The No. 2 Buckeyes will make it to the Fiesta Bowl and play No. 3 Clemson in the CFP Semifinal. No. 1 Alabama will face off against No. 4 Oregon in the Peach Bowl.

This will ultimately lead to a rematch of the 2020 National Championship, where Ohio State will beat Alabama. That would be the first title for the program under head coach Ryan Day.

For Michigan, Russo has the Wolverines still making a New Year’s Six Bowl. The Wolverines will be playing soon-to-be members of the B1G, USC in the Rose Bowl.

Here are the rest of his picks:

  • Rose Bowl: Michigan vs. USC
  • Sugar Bowl: Georgia vs. Kansas State
  • Cotton Bowl: Houston vs. Oklahoma
  • Orange Bowl: North Carolina vs. Texas A&M

It’ll be interesting to see which of these predictions come true.
