Army football has special entrance for Week 2 game on 20th anniversary of 9/11
Week 2 of the college football season marks the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks in New York City.
College football programs all over the country are commemorating the anniversary in unique ways. For service academies like Army, today is even more impactful.
Army entered the field for its Week 2 matchup with Western Kentucky with every player carrying an American flag. Here’s a clip of their entrance:

All 14 Big Ten programs made some sort of tribute to acknowledge the 20th anniversary. A handful of Big Ten teams, including Ohio State, are wearing special helmet decals on Saturday.
FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff show was in Columbus on Saturday to preview Ohio State’s marquee matchup with Oregon. Fans on the broadcast broke into a ‘USA!’ chant at the beginning of the show.
Air Force and Navy will face off at 3:30 p.m. ET. That game will be broadcast on CBS.
