The Army-Navy game is always one that is bigger than football. The honor, tradition and sacrifice that the game represents is what makes this annual matchup so special.
On Saturday, players from both Army and Navy will be wearing special patches on their uniforms to honor the veterans who came before them. It’s just another sign of everything this game represents.
Army and Navy may not like each other very much on the field, but they’ll be unified by those patches today. Players from both teams talked about the importance and significance of those patches in a College GameDay segment.
Below is the video, as posted by College GameDay. Army and Navy will kick things off at 3 p.m. ET on Saturday, with the broadcast airing on CBS.
Though rivals on the gridiron, Army and Navy are united by the patches they wear to honor the veterans who came before them 🙏
