Art Briles is back in college football. The former Baylor head coach has been hired at FCS program Grambling State, where he’ll be offensive coordinator under former NFL head coach Hue Jackson.

Grambling State confirmed the hire to reporters only hours after dismissing reports of the hire as “rumors.”

The Grambling spokesperson’s confirmation to reporters is the closest we’ll get to an official announcement. In place of a traditional press release, Briles will sit down for an interview with a TV station.

This will be Briles’ first college football coaching position since being fired by Baylor due to the program’s sexual assault scandal. Since then, Briles has coached high school football at Mount Vernon in Texas and an American football team in the Italian Football League in Florence, Italy.
