A few days ago, the Associated Press released its midseason All-America team.

Coming from the B1G were Wisconsin RB Jonathan Taylor, Wisconsin OL Beau Benzschawel and Michigan DL Chase Winovich. That was it. Just three.

For some, that may come as a surprise. But, on Thursday, the AP released its awards surrounding various categories solely within the Big Ten.

Here’s a look at the winners:

Coach of the Year:

Matt Canada, Maryland

Offensive Player of the Year:

Dwayne Haskins, QB, Ohio State

Defensive Player of the Year:

Chase Winovich, DL, Michigan

Freshman of the Year:

Rondale Moore, WR, Purdue

Most Surprising Teams:

Maryland (good), Nebraska (bad)

Most Surprising Player:

David Blough, QB, Purdue

Most Disappointing Player:

Alex Hornibrook, QB, Wisconsin
