AT&T and Uber Deliver College Football Everywhere

College football fans love game day Saturdays – especially conference championship Saturday! But, those Saturdays occasionally come with obligations…work…a kid’s recital…an ill-timed shopping excursion. Places and situations that make it very difficult for a fan to watch the big game can create tension. The tension only increases when the big game is Iowa vs. Michigan State for the Big Ten Championship.
The good news is that AT&T has solved the problem by delivering college football, wherever fans are. With products and services from the network to mobile U-verse and DIRECTV – AT&T delivers game day to fans, when and where they need it.
Throughout the fall, AT&T and Uber teamed up to make sure college football fans wouldn’t miss out on the action on Saturdays. It’s a story that demonstrates how AT&T mobilizes the college football fan’s world. It’s a story about College #FootballEverywhere.
What does this mean? Well, AT&T partnered with Uber to create UberCONNECT, powered by AT&T. This product enabled fans to watch live streaming games inside custom, college football branded Connected Cars so they didn’t have to miss a moment of the action on game day.
Previously, on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015, AT&T deployed 10 Connected Cars in Atlanta to provide free UberCONNECT rides all day to college football fans. Users were able to request UberCONNECT rides in the Uber app.
Some riders got an extra surprise when they got in the car and found football legend, Troy Polamalu and hip-hop artist, Big Boi from Outkast along for the ride.
AT&T also brought College Football Everywhere and its fleet of Connected Cars to Nashville, Detroit and Houston earlier in the season, with special guests like Jerome Bettis, Herman Moore and Dat Nquyen surprising riders.
