The B1G has announced the preseason honors for the 2020 football season. The release came on Friday evening.

Five players from the B1G West and five players from the B1G East were honored with All-B1G preseason accolades. The list included four players who have received All-American honors, as well as eight players who have earned All-B1G recognition in their careers.

Here’s a look at the 2020 football preseason All-B1G honorees:

B1G West

  • Rashod Bateman, WR, Minnesota
  • Paddy Fisher, LB, Northwestern
  • Rondale Moore, WR, Purdue
  • Tanner Morgan, QB, Minnesota
  • Jack Sanborn, LB, Wisconsin

B1G East

  • Wyatt Davis, OG, Ohio State
  • Justin Fields, QB, Ohio State
  • Pat Freiermuth, TE, Penn State
  • Kwity Paye, DE, Michigan
  • Shaun Wade, CB, Ohio State

Ohio State had the most players receive honors with three. Minnesota was the only other program with multiple selections, having two players make the list.

Purdue, Northwestern, Wisconsin, Penn State and Michigan each had one player selected.

The B1G season is set to begin on Friday, Oct. 23 with Illinois and Wisconsin opening the 2020 campaign. Six games are scheduled to follow on Saturday, Oct. 24.
