B1G announces 2022 All-Tournament Team, MVP
The dramatic 2022 B1G Tournament came to a conclusion Sunday with Iowa taking down Purdue for the title and the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. That run to the title by the Hawkeyes included record-breaking performances, dramatic buzzer-beaters and some intense battles throughout the weekend.
For his performance, Iowa’s Keegan Murray took home the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player Award after putting up 19 points in the title game win. Murray also shattered the previous record for points in a single B1G Tournament, becoming the first player to hit 100+ for the week. He finished with 103 points in 4 games.
Indiana’s Trayce Jackson-Davis was also named to the All-Tournament team after an incredible stretch with the Hoosiers. Jackson-Davis was instrumental in wins over Michigan and Illinois and had 31 points in a last-second loss to the Hawkeyes.
