B1G announces basketball Players of the Week coming out of New Year's
The B1G is gearing up for 2023 and the full resuming of the conference slate. The rest of the way, it will be a dramatic race in the conference before we get to March Madness.
On Tuesday, the B1G announced the Players of the Week coming out of the New Year’s holiday.
Player of the Week
- Hunter Dickinson, Michigan
Dickinson averaged 22.5 points and 9 rebounds in 2 games as the Wolverines went 1-1 last week. He scored a season-high 32 points and rounded out a double-double with 12 rebounds and 2 blocks in a blowout win over Maryland.
Dickinson’s shooting night was an efficient 13-for-16 performance as he completed the 20th double-double of his career with the Wolverines.
Freshman of the Week
- Brice Sensabaugh, Ohio State
Sensabaugh averaged 19.5 points and 7 rebounds with a 57% shooting performance last week as Ohio State went 2-0. Finished with 21 poitns and 6 rebounds in a blowout win over Alabama A&M before scoring 16 points in the second half alone against Northwestern.
The award is Sensabaugh’s third straight Freshman of the Week award in the B1G.
