The B1G is launching a new media days opportunity alongside the Big Ten Network in a first-of-its-kind move.
On Friday, it was announced that the B1G will host its first-ever Volleyball Media Days. The event is set for Aug. 1-2 at the BTN studios in Chicago.
According to BTN’s Emily Ehman and the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA), this is the first Volleyball Media Days across all NCAA conferences. All 14 B1G head coaches will attend the event, along with 1-2 players from each program.
The Big Ten Conference will hold its inaugural Volleyball Media Days Aug. 1–2 in Chicago. This first-of-its-kind event will feature the head coach and players from all 14 @bigten VB programs.
Love to see this next step in growing the game; here’s hoping other conferences follow. pic.twitter.com/BkcOlwgrmI— AVCA (@AVCAVolleyball) June 3, 2022
The head coach and 1-2 players from each of the B1G’s 14 schools will be in attendance on either day for press conferences, sit-down interviews, social segments and more.
(And yes, I will give you plenty of behind-the-scenes content 👀)

According to Ehman, it provides a key opportunity for volleyball in the conference to be covered in the same way as football and basketball in terms of preseason content.
As more information develops with itineraries and which players/teams are coming which day, I will keep you all updates. For now, follow @B1GVolleyball for the latest information on the best conference in #NCAAVB 🤩
