The B1G’s job of naming the Players of the Week was slightly easier on Monday, after only nine conference teams were in action. But there were still plenty of excellent candidates for the honor.

Three players from Saturday night’s clash between Ohio State and Penn State earned Player of the Week honors after huge performances in the marquee matchup. Purdue and Michigan also had players mentioned.

Here are the B1G players who earned Player of the Week honors following Week 5 action:

Offensive Player of the Week

Dwayne Haskins, QB, Ohio State

Defensive Players of the Week

Chase Winovich, DL, Michigan

Chase Young, DL, Ohio State

Special Teams Player of the Week

Joe Schopper, P, Purdue

Freshman of the Week

KJ Hamler, WR, Penn State
