The B1G Players of the Week for Week 11 have been named.
This week, there’s a healthy mix of returning winners and fresh blood taking home Player of the Week accolades. Minnesota and Wisconsin had multiple winners, while Ohio State and Iowa were also represented.
Here are the Players of the Week as announced by the B1G on Monday:
Minnesota quarterback Demry Croft and Ohio State running back Mike Weber were tabbed as co-Offensive Players of the Week. Croft rushed for 183 yards and three touchdowns while also throwing for 105 yards in the Gophers’ blowout win over Nebraska. Weber posted a career-high 162 yards and two touchdowns against Michigan State.

The Defensive Player of the Week honors were also shared, as Iowa’s Josh Jackson and Wisconsin’s Leon Jacobs both received recognition. Jackson recorded two pick-sixes while Jacobs returned a fumble for a touchdown and had a sack.

Rodney Smith’s 100-yard kickoff return and 279 all-purpose yards were enough to receive B1G Special Teams Player of the Week honors.

Can you guess who the Freshman of the Week was? That’s right for the sixth time this season, Wisconsin running back Jonathan Taylor earned the award, this time for a 157-yard performance.
