The B1G has named the Week 12 Players of the Week.

There were several excellent performances throughout the conference on the second-to-last Saturday of the season, presenting the conference with some challenging decisions. A few players shared some of the accolades this week, as newcomers and familiar faces were presented with the honors.

Here are the B1G Players of the Week.

Player of the Week regular Saquon Barkley was joined by Purdue receiver Anthony Mahoungou for co-offensive honors. Barkley rushed for 158 yards and scored three touchdowns in Happy Valley while Mahoungou hauled in seven catches for 135 yards and two scores against Iowa.

Defensive Player of the Week honors went to Northwestern’s Nate Hall, who racked up three tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks an interception and a fumble recovery in the Wildcats’ shutout win over Minnesota.

A punt returned for a touchdown against Michigan was enough to earn Wisconsin cornerback Nick Nelson Special Team Player of the Week honors.

Wisconsin’s Jonathan Taylor actually had some company this week. The Badger running back was joined by Indiana’s Morgan Ellison as co-Freshman of the Week. Taylor rushed for 132 yards on 19 carries while Ellison racked up 149 yards and two touchdowns on 15 touches.
