The list includes 4 players from 4 separate programs across the B1G.

Offensive Player of the Week

  • RB Miyan Williams, Ohio State

It’s hard to beat a career high in rushing yards and tying a 48-year old schools record with 5 rushing touchdowns in one game. We don’t care who you’re playing, that’s impressive.

Defensive Player of the Week

  • S Cam Allen, Purdue

Cam Allen was all over the field Saturday against No. 21 Minnesota. He picked off Tanner Morgan twice and recorded 4 tackles in helping the Boilermakers get back on track in the B1G West title race.

Not a bad week.

Special Teams player of the Week

  • P Barney Amor, Penn State

Amor punted 5 times in Penn State’s 17-7 win over Northwestern, seeing 4 of them land within the 20-yard line and 3 land within the 10-yard line.

Amor has pinned the ball within the 20 on 14 of his 23 attempts this season.

Freshman of the Week

  • CB Malcom Hartzog, Nebraska

Hartzog scored a touchdown in his first collegiate start, helping pus the Huskers over Indiana, 35-21. As stated below, it was Nebraska’s first punt block returned for a touchdown since 2009.
