B1G basketball reveals latest Players of the Week honors (Dec. 19, 2022)

The B1G is handing out its weekly awards for the top performers of the week. On Monday, a player from Iowa and a freshman from Ohio State were honored for the past week’s performances.
Player of the Week
- Filip Rebraca, F, Iowa
Rebraca set a new career-high with 30 points in 26 minutes played during Iowa’s 106-75 rout of Southeastern Missouri State. He finished 12-of-13 from the field in an electric shooting performance.
Rebraca rounded out his performance with 6 assists, 9 rebounds a steal and a block for his first Player of the Week honor.
Freshman of the Week
- Brice Sensabaugh, F, Ohio State
Sensabaugh scored a career-high 22 points during Ohio State’s Madison Square Garden matchup against North Carolina. He nailed a shot with 3 seconds left in the game that gave the Buckeyes a lead and nearly a win before the Tar Heels tied the game at the buzzer.
Sensabaugh finished the OT loss by going 9-for-17 from the field with 8 rebounds and 3 assists to grab his first Freshman of the Week honor.
