B1G bowl projections following Week 13: Buckeyes not in CFP at this point

The college football regular season has flown by. And just like that, we can officially say the Michigan Wolverines are the top dogs in the B1G.
The most important game in the B1G this season was a touch one-sided. Michigan ran away with things and is now primed for a spot in the College Football Playoff. The Buckeyes are likely to rematch against Utah in the Rose Bowl.
The final number is locked in at 9 B1G teams reaching a bowl game this season, 1 less than last season. Michigan State could not sneak in, falling to 5-7 after a loss at Penn State.
Speaking of the Nittany Lions, expect to see them in the Cotton Bowl against Tulane. They have 10 wins on the year with their only losses coming against Michigan and Ohio State.
The B1G championship is set, with Purdue ready to take on Michigan for the title. That also boosts the Boilermakers’ chances of a good bowl, likely no less than the Citrus Bowl now that Penn State seems destined for a New Year’s 6 game. Illinois will get the next pick after that, with Iowa not far behind.
